If
you've enjoyed this site and need to waste more of your
obviously not-to-precious time, here is a sampling of
some of jc's favorite web sites. Espousing the greatness
of his influences or trashing the landscape of mother
hypocrisy, these are the places jc goes for a chuckle.
He has not only provided jamescampion.com with comments
on these sites, but a blurb on why he enjoys them and
the persons or subjects they cover.

Literary
Champions
- Bookazine
- My hearty
distributors.
- Phenix
& Phenix Literary Publicists - My
hearty publicist.
- The
Great Thompson Hunt - This is
the best of all the Hunter S. Thompson sites. A real tribute
to the greatest living American author. Hunter's motivation
and influence on my work is immeasurable.
- Gonzo
- Another great place to discover the good doctor.
- Kurt
Vonnegut - An official site of America's greatest living
novelist. His fiction has inspired a generation of satirists.
To what generation I hail is not clear, but he is one of my
heroes.
- Anais
Nin - An excellent way to discover and celebrate one
of the finest women writers of the 20th century. She has also
been a great influence.
- Henry
Miller Library - The official site for Miller's work
in Big Sur with a worthy tribute to the master. I discovered
Miller after my literary love affair of Anais Nin took me there.
But he's really my wife's favorite.
- Mark
Twain - Great quotable page.
- Alan
Watts - The Man's web site.
- Joseph
Campbell Foundation - Offical site for preserving the
master's work.

firmly pressed to the wall" style of writing.

Lunatic Fringe
- Al
Quagliata - He's
brash, he's beautiful, and he's a clearly insane performer,
comedian, actor and friend.
- George
Carlin - This is the king's actual
site which he personally updates and peppers with true grit.
Carlin was the first person to open the world up at its core
and show me that dissecting it has its advantages.
- Lenny
Bruce - Extensive, exhaustive and fun to peruse; although
there isn't an official Lenny Bruce site, this suffices. Bruce's
work and story were my introduction to the importance of cherishing
the right to say whatever you believe despite the always harrowing
results.
- Woody
Allen - A definitive site about the greatest living
American filmmaker and incredible storyteller. Never fails to
make me laugh, think and feel something through his work. Never
miss an opening of his films in New York City. One of the few
pleasures life assures.
- Andy
Kaufman - When life becomes a satire, you have to give
it up. Can't say an influence because who could attain such
lofty insanity, but certainly an inspiration. Extraordinarily
vast amount of knowledge here.
- Tom
Green - God bless this lunatic. We need more like him.
This is an official site and not affiliated with any MTV bullshit.
- Abbie
Hoffman - Hell of a tribute to one of America's most
wonderfully annoying activists.
- The
Simpsons Archive - The best Simpsons web site ever.
These guys are nuts. Extensive
and exhaustive. Worthy of the best satirical television show
of all time.
- My
Part of The Thing - This is a very creative show by
very creative young men that ran in the New York area during
90s' on local television. They made fun of me often and have
clips on this site doing so. I also did a promo for them, appearing
on the video section.
- Generation
Jones
- If you are NOT a Baby Boomer OR a Generation X member, and
were born from 1954 to 1965, please visit this home of the brave
and be counted.
- Camp
Chaos - The finest in animated mayhem with a twist and
bite. Huge fan.
- The
Parking Lot Is Full - Horribly twisted, hillarious and
guilty cartoonists.
- The
Romp - More fun to waste your time.
- Doodie.com
- Don't ask, just doodie.

Media Counterculture Catalog - Best of the different
available on the web.

Musical Luv
- Tasty
Reckless - Songwriting duo with pizazz.
- DogVoices
- The DEEP TANK is still full. Although Pete and Chris are no
longer part of the dog pound I will always appreciate the boys
in the band and their rabid following for being the subjects
of my first book. Must be seen to truly appreciate. God bless
their lunacy.
- The
Nerds - Also a great source of material for my first
book, but in order to fully tell the story of New Jersey's finest
band it would take volumes. Long live The Nerds!
- The
Monster - Submit to the gang and become a willing "angry
villager" now!

& The Pale Boys
- I play with these loons occasionally. Great Irish punks!

- Excellent source for archived Pete material, interviews and
such.
